Quick Healing of Wound – Case Study 3
Bobby Jones, owner of BryLynn Farms and president of the Florida Thoroughbred Farm Managers, contacted The Sanctuary with a yearling thoroughbred colt who had sustained a wound to right hind fetlock 15 days before the August yearling sale.
The treatment protocol developed by Jones in conjunction with The Sanctuary was to do 3 hyperbaric oxygen treatments in a week, 3 cold saltwater leg spa treatments, and daily therapeutic laser treatments in addition to bandaging and antibiotics.
According to Jones, “the therapy regimen developed allowed the horses injury to heal faster, and not only did the horse make it to the sale, but he sold for a good profit.”
