Dr. Alberto Rullan co-founded Performance Equine Veterinary Services (PEVS) in 2009 alongside his brother, William Rullan. Together, they built a leading veterinary practice dedicated to diagnosing and treating performance-related issues in horses. Driven by a mission to transform patients to reach their peak performance abilities, PEVS has become a trusted name in equine care. In 2018, Dr. Rullan further expanded his impact on equine health by founding the Equine Performance Innovative Center (EPIC), a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility specializing in cutting-edge therapies for performance horses. His vision is to positively impact the lives of 1 million horses through advanced veterinary care and innovative treatment approaches.
Dr. Rullan earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Pennsylvania State University in 2002. Following graduation, he pursued an intensive equine internship at Louisiana State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital and Clinic, where he gained advanced expertise in equine medicine, surgery, and therapeutic techniques.
As a certified member of the International Society of Equine Locomotor Pathology (ISELP), Dr. Rullan brings specialized expertise in diagnosing and treating complex locomotor issues in performance horses. This certification reflects his commitment to providing the highest standard of care in equine lameness diagnostics and treatment.
Dr. Rullan frequently travels internationally to further his knowledge in equine rehabilitation, locomotor pathology, and regenerative therapies, including advanced stem cell treatments.
